Visit Red Rock to Watch MSU

On Tuesday, Helen and I visited Red Rock casino's comfortable sports book to watch the Spartans tangle with Purdue. I bought a $25 ticket at MSU +1.5, so I was able to cash, even though MSU lost by 1 in overtime. What a game! MSU down by 18 in the second half, but managed to take a 4-point lead with less than 2 minutes to play. Then have it decided in OT by a poor foul call with 5 seconds to play. Aaaargh.

Anyway, during the game, Helen and I shared a large order of fries, then opted for some mini-hotdogs wrapped in pretzels. Not very nutritious, but still tasty.

Learned last night that Scott will apparently need back surgery for a herniated disc. So sorry that our boy will have to undergo that, but hopefully it will take care of his back woes.

On Sunday, I watched the Superbowl at home with Helen. I went to the local grocery store and stocked up on snacks and salads and we just enjoyed the game. I had been to Red Rock early in the day and it was crazy busy. No place to sit and lines everywhere. So it was nice to watch the game at home. My buddy Terry cashed a $100 futures ticket on Denver at 8-1 odds that I bought for him in December! GREAT Pick T!!

Today I'll be going to Ballys to log 3 more hours needed to play in tonight's free roll poker tourney. I cashed last week and will try to snag another $300 tonight.

And so our adventure continues...
