Early Morning Update

Just to add a few notes after yesterday's entry:
Our road trip had a few interesting aspects to it. On the drive from Katy to LV, we spent most of the first day driving through rain - sometimes a pounding, splashing deluge - across much of Texas and New Mexico. The second day, from NM to NEV was beautiful, sunny and 60s. The clear weather and light traffic made it easy to roll into town about 3 hours before I had planned, but that was great.

Yesterday's move-in was tiring but had some fun aspects. The moving guy, Mike Lynch, is a friendly, talkative guy and we have a few things in common - Mike's an avid Raiders fan - and we spent 30 minutes or more trying to analyze the Silver & Black problems. In April, just after the NFL draft (and another Raiders bad pick) Mike and his team will move our stuff from the apt. to the storage unit.

Today I'll be making my first trip to the Strip to see if the casinos there are still implementing their policy of giving FREE MONEY away to visitors. Otherwise I'll be forced to sit at a poker table and take the cash from strangers. Oh well...Check back tonight for an update on my gaming fortunes.
